All of us at WiRED International would like to wish happy holidays to everyone who is part of the WiRED family, especially those working and living in the most challenging environments. Ours is truly a community effort to help provide people in low-resource regions with the capacity to improve their own health.
As we enter our 27th year of operation we are excited to continue providing health training modules to communities around the world. We are especially pleased to expand our community health worker (CHW) programs in Kenya, health and first aid training material in Ukraine and projects in Armenia that will support local citizens and refugees fleeing from Ukraine and Nagorno-Karabakh. Given clear evidence of climate change during the past year, our plans for 2024 also include development of a series on One Health — the intersection of human, animal and environmental health.
in 2024 WiRED will partner with organizations in additional African and South American countries to prepare CHWs to elevate the health of people in their communities. We will introduce our proven innovations in training and outreach that enable CHWs to provide cost-efficient health services.
A special greeting, with our sincere thanks, to WiRED’s remarkable volunteers and partners around the world. Our work would not be possible without this talented and dedicated network of people. Like all of us who work at WiRED, our volunteers are not paid and often go without recognition for their selfless humanitarian work.

While we celebrate the work our volunteers have accomplished in 2023, we all might keep in mind the many underserved communities that can benefit from a well-trained CHW corps.
