There is something wonderful about Steve Wonder Okello. Steve said, “I was born in Obunga, one of the biggest slums in Kisumu, Kenya, where opportunity does not come to you, but you must go after it.” For the past five years Steve has been a client support staffer at the WiRED International Center in Obunga.

Dehydration leads to 1.5 million deaths each year — mostly in young children from developing countries. The tragedy is that with simple treatment these lives could have been saved. WiRED International now offers an educational course on dehydration in our Learning Center.
National Public Health Week is here! To get the ball rolling, President Barack Obama issued a proclamation declaring National Public Health Week and acknowledging the value of public health workers to our country every day.
