A Salute to Robert Ohrenschall

Robert Ohrenschall joined WiRED International as its board’s first chair, and has guided the organization from its beginnings in 2000 to its 10th anniversary celebration this year. Although he will remain on the board as a regular member, he passed the baton to new chair Anthony Hodge on October 1, 2010.

Miriam A. Othman, MD, MPH, brings a wealth of medical and international public health experience to WiRED International. Currently, she is Project Coordinator for WiRED International’s Community Health Information (CHI) program, developing the texts for the tutorials and study materials offered in WiRED’s new training program for grassroots communities.

WiRED Launches Newly Designed Features of ITN in Central America

Five new Medical Information Centers (MICs) opening in Central America June 4-10, 2010, will link to a newly refined, online resource that provides a wealth of medical information for doctors in developing countries. In addition to supplying the computers and other necessary equipment, WiRED will launch a new information and training tool from the International Telemedicine Network (ITN) education portal.
