All of us at WiRED International would like to wish happy holidays to everyone who is part of the WiRED family, especially those working and living in the most challenging environments. Ours is truly a community effort to help provide people in low-resource regions with the capacity to improve their own health.
WiRED International’s community health workers (CHWs) in Kisumu, Kenya completed another successful month of providing health services and referrals to thousands of people. In fact, the average number
WiRED International’s Board of Directors and volunteers are deeply saddened to note the death of winemaker Miljenko “Mike” Grgich, aged 100 on December 13, 2023.
On February 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. In response WiRED International considered how best we could assist Ukrainians, and in August 2023 we released our well-tested community health worker training course used in other countries.
WiRED International congratulates one of our trusted colleagues in Kenya, Sr. Bernadette Nealon, on the celebration of her Golden Jubilee — the 50th anniversary of her taking vows as a Catholic Sister. The ceremony honors her remarkable five decades of work in low-resource regions.
